The Country Life Future Schools Fair team are dedicated to creating tailored, regional events to support parents and children in making their school choices at 11+, 13+ and 16+.
TIEC Events Ltd
With a staff team who collectively have years of experience offering advice to parents in support of their school choices, TIEC Events Ltd delivers high quality education events which bring schools and parents together, to give advice and support with choosing the right school, at each stage of education, from 11+, 13+ and 16+. The event programme will gradually be rolled out over the next three years across regions of the UK, as well as some events overseas. Our events are free for parents to attend and deliver high quality advice for parents through a comprehensive seminar programme, as well as the opportunity to meet regional schools from both the state and independent sector face-to-face.
Claire Wise, Events Director
Claire’s background is all about organising events, be it for the hotel groups that she has worked for, the corporate companies she has been involved with, or for the charities that she has supported over the years.
Due to her Father’s corporate moves, Claire attended seven different schools in England and Scotland, so has personal experience of how it feels to be a child who is making transitions between schools due to Corporate moves. As the mother of three sons, she was determined that their education was more stable, but also took the attitude that as each son had different strengths and weaknesses, the school should be the right one for each of them, and not chosen just for convenience. Hence, Claire has at one time or another had three boys at three different schools, which included a state grammar, independent day school and a public boarding school.
Claire has worked in South Africa, France, Spain and the UK, so fully appreciates the challenges of integrating into new surroundings as well as into different cultures. Her experience with CPM International, Protea Hotels and The Practice Medical Group has given her an insight into new business development, training and sales management, all of which stand her in good stead for working with both schools and parents through the development and delivery of the Country Life Future Schools Fairs.

Catherine Stoker, Director
After a career in teaching, Catherine has advised parents from both the UK and overseas on their school choices for the past 12 years. As an education consultant, Director and Managing Director, she worked within a Central London based education consultancy for seven years, before setting up her own Company, The Independent Education Consultants, in 2011. A year later she launched her own guardianship business, The Guardian Family Network, which cares for international children who are studying at UK boarding schools, offering on-going support services to parents, once they have chosen and secured a place at their preferred boarding school.
Catherine’s passion for offering parents access to cost-effective, independent advice, to support their school choices, was the reason behind the launch of the first Future Schools Fair held in Buckinghamshire in 2012. Highlighting the wealth of school choices across a region was something parents felt a need for. Following two events in consecutive years and a great deal of positive feedback from both parents and schools about the relevance of the events in supporting their school choice decisions, the event programme has been expanded across other regions and to the expat market.
Catherine is very pleased to have formed a partnership with Country Life to deliver these fairs and is looking forward to welcoming many of their readers to one of the events in the months and years to come.
